Chapter 187 was pretty epic. But I have two questions if they were not asked so far.



1: Who are the four great angels? What power do they posses that even the ten would be afraid off?

2: The history that happened between the goddess and the demon clan, what was it? Why did they murder all the children, and why did they back off their own words? what was that pact?

We learnt in chapter 186 that the Goddess Clan are actually angels. That makes me wonder: What if the first demons were once part of the Goddess Clan?

Fallen Angels in Christian Mythology

In the Christian mythology, fallen angels were bannished from Paradise for rebelling against God. They became demons. The most famous among them is Lucifer, who refused to love mankind as God asked all angels. Similarly, the demons in NnT show profound despise for the human race.

Physical appearence

Take a look at the demon above. As you can see his wings are made of feathers, like those of angels. Is that a possible hint?

What happenned thousands of years ago

The druids are humans who worship the Goddess Clan. But we could see in chapter 187 that the Goddess Nerobasta despised humans. Why would the druids worship enities who don't care about them? The answer could be that the Goddess Clan used to love humans, but lost sight of this philosophy as the war against the demons went on. And what triggerred that war ? Maybe a part of the Goddess Clan refused to love weak creatures like humans. So they were bannished from the Clan, and lost their powers. Then, they regained their strength by developping dark powers, and that leaded to the great war.

What do you think ? Could both clans have been originally one ?

This is what Merlin said when she first told Meliodas about the Seven deadly sins :

Spoiler: Chapter 182

"The 5" refers to Diane, King, Gowther, Ban and Escanor.
As we know, Diane is a giant, King is a fairy and Gowther is a demon.

If I don't misunderstood Merlin's words, Ban and Escanor are from two other species.

The keyword is "tribe". It can have three different meanings :

- Tribe = community. Then Merlin's words have no particular meaning, she just said that the five don't live at the same place.

- Tribe = species. That is interesting because it means that at least one of them is not human.

- Tribe = clan. The most interesting, because it means either Ban or Escanor is from the goddess clan, and the other is human.


According to you, what did Merlin meant ? What species are Ban and Escanor ?

You probably noticed, the minions of Big Mom are dressed in Chess' pieces. We saw pawns (ch.825), knight (ch.830) and rook (ch.834).

We also saw a lot checkerboard symbole at Totland. Here some representations.

Well, I think some characters of Big Mom's pirates represent pieces of chess.

♛ Queen = Big Mom
The Queen is the best piece of the game just as Big Mom, the Queen of Totland is the best pirate of her crew.

♟ Pawns = Minions and Creations of Big Mom
Pawns aren't powerful but they are numerous and can be embarrassing. Pawns can also turn into a new queen, so maybe the part of Big Mom's soul can turn into Big Mom ?

♜ Rook 1 = Capone Gang Bege
He cans have his men into him like a real tower and we can see towers on his jolly roger.

♞ Knight 1 = Randolph
He has a mount and his movement are hard to predict, such as the piece of chess.

♝ Bishop 1 = Brûlée
This is more subjective. I think Brûlée is based on Saint Joan of Arc. So, we have the religious aspect of the bishop. But, the piece of bishop isn't a bishop in some countries. He can also be an elephant, an officer, a runner or a messenger for example. In France it's a jester or a mad (same word in French) ! It's interesting because Brûlée is based on a French woman which was mad according to her ennemies and Brûlée is a mad woman.

In Chess, the king is the objective to reach and he is very weak. Sanji is an noble and an objective. But he doesn't belong to BM's pirates and he is powerful. So I think, the king is the Road Poneglyphe. Big Mom said to Jinbe she can't read Poneglyphe but I guess she put a part of her soul into the Poneglyphe in order to forced it to tell his story.


• What about other BM's Pirates ?
There are only 1 queen, 1 king, 2 rooks, 2 knights and 2 rooks (and pawns) in chess so I don't think all pirates of Big Mom can be represented here. But maybe we will see other chess' pieces later !

Ok... I get myself pulled together.


So...
As you can see from the flag, I'm italian.
My name is Marco (not the phoenix - though I like him a lot -) and I'm from Palermo, Sicily.
I'm 24 years old.


I want to point out that I'm not one of the biggest fans of ONE PIECE.

If I had to examine battles and how powers interact, and then tell you what I think, I'd say it's very low ranked in my list. Everything is made so that the protagonist wins no matter what. New developments are often oriented to patch holes, and most of the times this attitude of Oda's ends up only enlarging such holes.
For what concerns the morals behind the arcs, I think OP is very childish and for the man in the street.
And Luffy... He's simply outrageous.

But there are things I like, of course. This is OP we're (I'm) talking about, there's no way I wouldn't find it at least the bit interesting. That's why I'm here.

No! I was about to forget one thing!
Being Sicilian and Palermitan too, I can't light-heartedly stand the existence of Capone. It's not like I'm offended by his not-so-plausible mafia-behaviors, nor I deem my roots were stomped, but I just don't like how much grotesque the character is. Anyway, it's too early to judge, I still don't have the full picture.

On the other hand, when it comes to pursuing their own goals, they do not listen to what others might have to say about it. While manipulators often use techniques that allow them to control their opponents they also prefer to use an inanimate medium to control that can be used versatility (such as smoke or pieces of paper hardened with Shu).

Specialists are individualistic and charismatic.They will tell you anything important on them, and refrain from being close friends. Despite being a parody manga with some real good action scenes and fights.OnePunchman does not forget the emotional side of things at is essential to a series being successfull.
One of those ways is to insert in some heartwarming moments
Heartwarming can be defined as something emotionally uplifting or rewarding.
The definition that is put forward by tv tropes on the other hand defines it as "feel good moments"
or something that feels so "right" in a series.

Zoro - Swordsman
Sanji - Chef
Usopp - Sniper / Cannoneer
Nami - Navigator
Chopper - Doctor
