Elaine is King's sister and the Guardian Saint of the Fountain of Youth. She was killed by a demon in the Fairy King's Forest after giving up the fountain to Ban, but was later ressurrected during the battle against the Ten Commandments. When Merascylla summons souls from the Capital of the Dead to create an army, Elaine's soul was one of the souls called back to the living to join the demon's army of Zombies. Merascylla explains that Elaine is under the effects of Onhangon no Hou. Because of the fact Elaine's grudge had disappeared, she is beginning to suffer for it and it is only a matter of time before she dies again. Spoiler: Onhangon no Hou The last we heard about this was a dialogue between Elaine, Ban, and Jericho: With Elaine in Ban's arms, he asks her if she was ok, and she responds she is feeling better than before. Jericho says that Elaine should be fine, since her only regret is not being with Ban. |

I cannot help but be reminded of the Gladiator movie here. The Gladiator had to watch as his beloved Roman Empire suffered under the terror of the traitor Commodus. Dreyfus, captured in his own body, had to witness the downfall of Liones and his half-brother Zaratras, unable to stop any of it because of the Demon Fraudrin. I would bet a good amount of berry that we will see Dreyfus being freed in the future, and ending Fraudrin's life with his own sword, a small part of retribution for the past 10+ years. |
