Kiznaiver (キズナイーバー Kizunaībā?) is a Japanese anime television series produced by Trigger and Aniplex and written by Mari Okada. The series features character designs by Shirow Miwa and Mai Yoneyama. Hiroshi Kobayashi, famous for his work as assistant director in the anime Rage of Bahamut and as episode director in Kill la Kill, will make his first debut as director in Kiznaiver. The anime's title is play on the two words "connection" and "naïve" implying that the characters need to move past empathy to solve their problems, which they currently lack. Thematically, Kiznaiver is similar to Studio Trigger's previous films which deal with problems attributed to character interaction. |

The anime takes place in the fictional and futuristic Japanese town of Sugomori City, which was built on a reclaimed landfill. Once a booming metropolis in its prime, the city now faces a recent slow and steadily decreasing population. A few days before summer vacation, a mysterious and emotionless girl, Noriko Sonozaki, tells her classmate Katsuhira Agata that he has been selected to become a Kiznaiver because he lacks some pain reception. Together, the two experience what is called a kizuna (or connection) bond through pain.[4] This Kizuna system allows Katsuhira to share his pain and connects him to his classmates, whose lives and personalities each differ from his own. It is revealed that his classmates, along with Noriko, are all fellow "Kiznaivers" but are each a part of different rival groups. The ideal goal of the currently incomplete Kizuna System is to create world peace by connecting people's memories and experiences through wounds. If a single Kiznaiver is wounded, the system distributes the physical pain experienced and the wound itself among other Kiznaivers. This leads to serious implications as Katsuhira's classmates attempt to shoulder each other's pain and Noriko assigns them on various missions. |

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress (甲鉄城のカバネリ Kōtetsujō no Kabaneri?) is an anime series by Wit Studio. The series is directed by Tetsurō Araki and written by Ichirō Ōkouchi, with music by Hiroyuki Sawano and original character designs by Haruhiko Mikimoto. The series will premiere on Fuji TV's Noitamina block in April 2016. A prologue for the anime will premiere for a week in theaters across Japan starting March 18, 2016. Amazon will stream the series on their Amazon Prime Instant Video service. |

A monster appears during the industrial revolution and infects humans with its bite, turning them into Kabane. Kabane are aggressive and undead creatures that cannot be defeated unless its heart, which is protected by a layer of iron, is pierced. On the island Hinomoto, people have built stations to shelter themselves from these creatures. People access the station and transport wares between them with the help of Hayajiro, a locomotive running on steam. One day, as Ikoma waits for an opportunity to use his weapon, the Tsuranukizutsu, he meets Mumei as he sees the Hayajiro going out of control. The staff on the locomotive has turned into Kabane and attacks the station. Ikoma now has the opportunity he's been looking for to test out his new weapon. |

Log Horizon (Japanese: ログ・ホライズン Hepburn: Rogu Horaizun?) is a Japanese novel series written by Mamare Touno and published by Enterbrain in Japan since 2011. Yen Press announced their plans to publish the novels in 2015. The series follows the strategist, Shiroe, and the other players of the long-lived MMORPG Elder Tales after they find themselves whisked away into the game world following a game update. The novel has received four manga adaptations, with one based on the main story and the other three revolving around characters in the series. An anime adaptation aired on NHK Educational TV between October 5, 2013 and March 22, 2014. A second season aired between October 4, 2014 and March 28, 2015. |

By its eleventh expansion pack, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Elder Tale (エルダー・テイル Erudā Teiru?) has become a global success, with a user base of millions of players. However, during the release of its twelfth expansion pack: Novasphere Pioneers (ノウアスフィアの開墾 Nōasufia no Kaikon?, alt. Homesteading the Noosphere), thirty thousand Japanese gamers who are logged on at the time of the update suddenly find themselves transported into the virtual game world and donning their in-game avatars. In the midst of the event, a socially awkward gamer named Shiroe, along with his friends, Naotsugu and Akatsuki, decide to team up so that they may face this world, which unfortunately has now become their reality, along with the challenges and obstacles ahead of them. |

Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash (灰と幻想のグリムガル Hai to Gensō no Gurimugaru?) is a Japanese light novel series written by Ao Jūmonji and illustrated by Eiri Shirai. The story follows a group of people who suddenly find themselves in a fantasy world with no memories from before their arrival, and chronicles their struggles to survive and make a life for themselves. Mutsumi Okubashi began serializing a manga adaptation in Gangan Joker in 2015. The novels were adapted into a 12-episode anime television series that ran from January to March 2016. An original video animation was released in March 2016. |

"Awaken!" At the sound of this call, Haruhiro and a bunch of other strange kids awoke to find their memories missing in the quiet town of Ortana, within the world of Grimgar. Before they had any time to panic, a suspicious-looking officer of the "Borderland Brigade" informed them that they would be the organization's newest recruits if they wanted to not only uncover the mysteries behind their memory loss, but also make enough coin to earn a decent meal. Left on his own to find a guild and learn a useful trade for combat, Haruhiro became a thief and joined a few other misfits to try and survive. Moguzo the warrior, Ranta the dark knight, Yume the hunter, Shihoru the magician, and Manato the priest aren't the strongest party members around, though. In fact, their awkward group can barely manage to escape from Grimgar's weakest breed of goblins. Life in this fantasy kingdom is a desperate bid for survival, not some silly game, but every once in a while, Haruhiro feels like maybe it was a game that he somehow forgot about. |
