I know that I'm not a member of the staff anymore and might have lost my right for decision on that level, but this is still a topic that I consider somewhat important for the forum and I talked with a staff member about it not long ago.
The Tokyo Ghoul section is a dead place, except for the few posts the weekly chapter updates generate.
On top of that does it on average have barely more than 10 posts per thread; 3036posts/303threads.
If this were the result of there not being people who read the series and are active posters, then I could understand it, but this is not the case.
From the top of my head do we have @
HzJz, @
Sasuke, @
Roy98, @
Ghost, @
Ape, @
Bep07Law, @
sweetjacky, @
RWBY, @
Luffuzaki (not sure if he really counts anymore) & @
Menma (I think that @
Shooter, @
Fulcrum and @
Seuzin read it, too, or at least did in the past). (Yes, I dragged you into it and if you wanna say anything feel free to, up to you)
Yet do none of them post (anymore, if they ever did). Not in threads created by others and neither in threads created by themself, with the exception of @
RWBY some time ago with him spamming his battle threads, that failed to attract activity as well unlike it is the case for other sub-forums.
A thread of mine posted roughly a week ago has 0 replies and didn't even hit 50 views as of now, with a rather interesting topic, in my opinion. Not to mention that the last chapter could've easily worked as the base for 3 other threads you could've speculated and discussed a lot about, if people still cared to.
Another idea that I had is that I myself am the problem and that people simply don't want to talk with me about TG, but simply ignoring me should deal with it, letting all other conversations go on normally, so that should not be it, I guess.
If this doesn't show the missing interest for TG around here, then I don't know either.
Not to mention that MF is not really a place that will attract people who have a focus on TG. It's simply not the place the fandom is drawn to.
So giving Kingdom a chance to attract activity to MF, a series that seems to flourish around here, at least upon looking at the activity via posts/thread ratio, might be a better idea.
I don't really know how active the Kingdom sub-forum really is, I do not follow it, but it at least looks better on the outside and I see talk about it on the shout.
Not to mention that it is only about half way through, if I got that right, while TG isn't far away from ending.
So switching the positions of the Kingdom and Tokyo Ghoul sub-forums in the layout may be a good choice to attract new users and giving a sub-forum that has still a lot of hope for growth a chance, instead of letting Tokyo Ghoul occupy that position.
