What If Renpa Was Still Part Of The Three Heavens?

After getting his rank and status stripped by the current king he left the state of Zhao but his feats and abilities are incredible, aside from having the highest stats in the series,Riboku once stated that no one, not even himself, can defeat Ren Pa in a direct battle 9/10 times.

With Riboku being the only thing keeping the state of Zhao from being invaded and a threat to other states, what do you think would be different or would anything change if Renpa was still a part of the three great heavens?

We haven't seen anything about Sōma Yukihira's mother other than her hair color, height, and his family name which is Yukihira.

Spoiler: Yukihira Family Picture
İmage

She wasn't even mentioned, just shown in the picture at the end of chapter 1 (Episode 2 of Anime) . I have seen a theory wherein the author is speculating that Sōma's mother was also a student of Tootsuki and a former resident of Polar Star Dorm.

The author compared the picture that was shown after the Hell Training Camp. The picture contains the former residents of the Polar Star Dorm. The author saw a a girl which resembles Sōma's mom (the girl standing beside Saiba).

What do you think about this theory? Do you have any idea or thoughts about the mysterious Yukihira?

This theory is not my intellectual property. I can't find the link where I read the idea, but I will surely post it here once I found it.

Elite Ten Council - Discussion

As Yoshino described, Elite Ten is "A committee formed by the best ten students in the internal evaluations. In Tōtsuki, many affairs are left for students to decide. What to do in these affairs is decided by the members of the Elite Ten in their conferences. They are directly below the director in the organizational chart, even the lecturers must obey the Elite Ten. It's truly the highest decision-making organ in the academy."

We have seen the current and former member of the Council but we haven't seen all of them in action. We don't know their cuisine style and/or food forte except for Hayama, Momo, Kuga, and other former member of the council, and their special skills like Erina's God Tongue and Hayama's nose.

This thread serves as the discussion thread of your speculation about the possible cuisine style and/or food forte of the other Elite Ten or their special skills. Remember that this is not just about the current Elite Ten, former Elite Ten can also be discussed here.

Spoiler: Synopsis
Bravely Default is set in the world of Luxendarc, which is kept in balance by four elemental crystals. These crystals are protected and venerated by the Crystal Orthodoxy, a worldwide religious order. One day, the crystals are consumed by darkness, throwing the world into chaos. Agnès Oblige, Vestal of the Wind Crystal, escapes while the rest of the temple's worshipers perish to protect her. At the same time, a great chasm opens up beneath the village of Norende; Tiz Arrior, a shepherd of the village, is the only survivor. When he returns to the chasm hoping to find other survivors, he meets Agnès and her fairy companion Airy. The three are then attacked by forces from the hostile Duchy of Eternia, who seek to prevent Agnès from awakening the crystals. After defeating the soldiers, Tiz decides to travel with Agnès as her protector. They return to Caldisla, where they are also joined by Ringabel, an amnesiac vagabond who holds a book predicting future events, and Edea Lee, an Eternian soldier who becomes disillusioned and defects after her commanding officer commits war crimes. The party travels to the four temples, and Agnès awakens each of the crystals from darkness while being confronted by the forces of Eternia. During their journey, the group is aided by the ancient Sage Yulyana and observed by the immortal Lord DeRosso. The party eventually reaches Eternia, the home of the Earth Crystal, and are forced to defeat the leader of Eternia, Edea's father Braev Lee in battle. A column of light then appears in the chasm, which Airy says can be used to heal it. However, Airy's ritual instead sends them into a parallel world.

The process is repeated multiple times; in each of the five worlds the group travel through, they find and awaken the corrupted crystals, Airy performs her ritual in the pillar of light, and they are thrown into a new parallel world. In each world, they find variations on the situations they encountered in their own world, and gradually learn several truths about themselves and their adversaries. Nearly all of the Eternian elite they face were taken in by Braev out of compassion as they were rejected by the Orthodoxy, Ringabel is actually a parallel version of Dark Knight Alternis Dim, a close friend of Edea, and Yulyana and DeRosso were key figures in cleansing the original incarnation of the Orthodoxy of corruption. During their travels, both Yulyana and DeRosso give subtle warnings to Tiz and Agnès about Airy's intentions; meanwhile, Ringabel's memories slowly return, and he recalls Airy turning into a monster and murdering the previous incarnations of the party. In truth, Airy is an agent of Ouroboros, an evil being using the crystals as a means of linking all worlds as an energy sources to reach and conquer the Celestial Realm.

Depending on the player's actions, two different routes play out. In the normal route, triggered if Agnès destroys one of the crystals after figuring out Airy's scheme, Airy attacks them in a fit of rage. The group then pursue her to the Dark Aurora, a realm of darkness near the chasm, and defeat her; though she is dead, Ouroboros is still a threat to the world. In the true route, should the player awaken the crystals across four different worlds, Airy reveals herself and is defeated by the party. The group goes to Yulyana and DeRosso, who reveal a message left by an "angel", a version of Agnès from another world who was betrayed by Airy; the two have been planning for Ouroboros' arrival, and the group resolves to destroy both Airy and her master. They travel to the Dark Aurora and defeat Airy, who is then absorbed by Ouroboros. After revealing that Tiz is being kept alive by a being from the Celestial Realm, Ouroboros attacks, and DeRosso sacrifices himself to restrain its ability to regenerate. The party are temporarily stopped when Ouroboros begins consuming worlds to regain strength, but versions of them in other worlds break the links formed by Ouroboros, giving the party a chance to destroy him. Before the path between worlds closes, they return to their own world. In a mid-credits scene, Tiz goes to Caldisla's graveyard and releases the Celestial Being within him, entering a coma. In a special video teasing the second game, Tiz wakes in a life support tank and is rescued from captivity by the mysterious Magnolia Arch.

Spoiler: Gameplay
Bravely Default is a role-playing game (RPG) which features a party of four characters navigating the fantasy world of Luxendarc. Navigation in towns, dungeons and the world map environments are done from an angled, third-person overhead view: the character remains still, the camera zooms out to a distant view. These environments are displayed on the top screen of the Nintendo 3DS system, while the bottom screen displays maps of environments, party stats and other information such as item menus. On the world map, a day-night cycle alters the types of enemies present, and after a certain point in the story an airship can be used to speed up travel and access previously inaccessible areas. In towns, players can interact with non-playable characters (NPCs), purchase items or magic at specialized shops, buy or sell weapons and equipment at an armory, or rest at an inn to restore health points (HP) and magic points (MP). In all environments, the party can find chests containing items, weapons or equipment. During certain points, a Party Chat option appears, giving players the option of initiating conversations between the party members. During exploration, standard enemies appear through random encounters: outside battle, the counter rate can be adjusted from high to nothing. The game features multiple difficulty levels, which can be adjusted freely outside battle.

Outside the main campaign, the game uses networking features powered by the 3DS' StreetPass functionality. A central element is the campaign to reconstruct the village of Norende, destroyed at the beginning of the game. The village is constructed on new ground after obstacles are removed and an area is prepared. The reconstruction incorporates social game elements: friends encountered by the player through StreetPass and online invites become the village's residents, and their efforts are used to create various buildings including houses and shops. The amount of time a project takes to complete depends on the number of friends assigned to it, taking anywhere from days to weeks. Increasing the number of people speeds up the towns' reconstruction. As the reconstruction progresses, the player is awarded with new items and equipment. Individual buildings will gain experience points, granting access to higher-tier rewards, and players have the option of adjusting the types of items rewarded. Special randomly generated optional bosses, known as Nemeses, will appear in the region. Defeating them yields special rewards.

Battle system

Battles come in two types: random encounters with standard enemies, and staged boss battles. The battle system revolves around turn-based combat: each side is allowed to perform an action or multiple actions, with each character having independent movements and commands: these actions include attacking with the equipped weapon, using magic, or using an item. The party also has the option to escape from most battles. Key to the battle system are the Bravely and Default options. Brave Points (BP) dictate the number of actions a character or enemy can take within a turn, along with being needed for the execution of certain abilities. Party members can utilize BP down into negative figures, enabling up to four actions within a single turn. When the BP gauge is into negative figures, they must wait for the BP counter to reach zero before they can act again. BP are naturally recovered once per turn. Alternately, a chosen character can Default, which accumulates BP and reduces the damage taken by enemy strikes. An additional power is Bravely Second, an ability which freezes time for the enemy, allowing a party member to move four times in a single turn with no cost. Bravely Second requires SP, a currency which is either replenished while the 3DS is in sleep mode or through buying regenerative SP Drinks using microtransactions. Battle speed during combat can be sped up or returned to normal by the player's choice.

Tied into the battle system is a Job system: beginning with the Freelancer, the party can gain additional Jobs by obtaining gems called Asterisks from defeated human bosses. Twenty-four Jobs can be found in the game, ranging from the agile Valkyrie, and White and Black Mages that respectively specialize in healing and fighting magic. Each Job has different strengths and weaknesses in battle. Outside battle, characters can be assigned any available Job. In addition to the skills of the equipped Job, the skills of a second Job can be learned, allowing for free customization of parties and the mixing of Job abilities in battle. After obtaining the Summoner Job, characters can use summoned monsters to launch attacks that deal high damage on all enemies. Friend characters can also be summoned from other players' games: the more a friend summon is used, the more effective their actions become.Defeated enemies, along with story recaps and descriptions of locations, and included in an item called D's journal.

Within certain conditions, characters can perform Special Moves, customizable powerful moves tied to Jobs: after a Special Move is performed, the entire party is granted buffs for a limited period. This period is represented with a specific tune that plays over normal battle music. Various elements can be added to Special Moves, such as granting elemental properties, launching status ailments at enemies, recovering HP and MP, and temporary status ailment immunity to the party. The customization of Special Moves is directly tied to the creation of specialist shops during the reconstruction of Norende. Experience points acquired at the end of a battle enable characters and their assigned Jobs to level up, unlocking new abilities and boosting character stats such as available HP and MP. Bonuses are gained if the party fulfilled certain conditions. Job abilities and levels can also be borrowed from online friends, in a feature called Abilink. Any Job can be borrowed from available players regardless of their current level.

Spoiler: Plot
Two and a half years after the events of Bravely Default, Agnès Oblige has been elected the Pope of the Crystal Orthodoxy. She and Grand Marshal Braev Lee of the Duchy of Eternia seek to end hostilities between their groups with a formal peace treaty. But the ceremony is interrupted by Kaiser Oblivion, leader of the Glanz Empire, who abduct Agnès while defeating those present. Yew Geneolgia, leader of Agnès' bodyguard unit, the Crystalguard, awakens a week after the attack. He sets out with fellow Crystalguard leaders Janne Engarde and Nikolai Nikolanikov to rescue Agnès. When they regroup with their comrades, Nikolai returns home to heal wounded soldiers. That night, Janne murders the remaining Crystalguard survivors and reveals he has been with the empire from the start. Yew escapes and returns home only to discover that Nikolai has apparently been killed in a follow-up attack by imperial forces. Afterwards, guided by Agnès through a crystal shard she dropped when she was kidnapped, Yew gains a companion in the Eternian Ducal Guard captain Edea Lee, the daughter of Braev who aided Agnès in their first adventure. On the way to Eternian Central Command to revive Tiz Arrior, a former comrade of Agnès and Edea who entered a deep coma for the past two and a half years, Yew is joined by Magnolia Arch, a young Ba'al Buster from the moon who is the sole survivor of an attack on her village and possesses an hourglass capable of localized time manipulation. Though group manage to revive Tiz, they are too late to stop the Kaiser from escaping in his Skyhold air fortress while learning that Nikolai faked his death and also serves the empire.

With Agnès' aid, the party pursues the Skyhold to the Harena region, making a stop at Yew's school day home of Al-Khampis. There, the party learns of a giant creature called a Ba'al who fell from the sky some time ago and currently lies dormant in what remained of the Kustra Archipelgo. After arriving there and seeing the Ba'al is missing, Magnolia reveals it to be her quarry after it ravaged her home and that she sensed it on the Skyhold with the Kaiser. Upon returning to Al-Khampis, the party meets the highly regarded scholar Professor Norzen, revealed to be the one who gave Edea the means to revive Tiz. After losing to the group when he attempted to destroy the Skyhold at the cost of Anchiem, Norzen explains that the Kaizer is searching for a "compass of space and time" and implores the group with his dying breath when assassinated by Minette Napkatti. The group locates the compass, but Minette steals it and dies handing it to Janne. The group encounters Janne again, who reveals himself to be the last survivor of House Balestra, a family that served in the Crystalguard 16 years ago until their opposition to the Orthodoxy surrendering to the nascent Duchy. Janne reveals he intends to avenge his father's death at the hand of Yew's father before taking his leave on the Skyhold as it travels to Eisenberg.

In Eisenberg, the party runs into a princess named Yoko as they help her find her brother Danzaburo. The party attends a festival in the city of Hartschild held by a baker named Angelo, where Magnolia and Yew bond. The next day, finding Hartschild empty, the group attempt to reach Yunohana before Yoko is wounded by the Glanz Empire's sniper Aimee Matchlock. While recovering in Yunohana, Yoko reveals Danzaburo is searching for the Sword of the Brave to legitimize his inheritance. Yew reluctantly reveals the sword's location and the group arrive too late to stop her as she claims the sword with the weapon taking Danzaburo's sword arm as payment. This horrifies Yew, who reveals that he caused a similar tragedy with his older half-brother Denys Genelogia who left soon after. But Yoko reveals Danazburo is an illusion while assuming her true form as a yokai, proceeding to torment the group before Alternis appears to drive her off. But Yoko leaves out of whim while telling the group to go to the Fire Crystal temple to discover the Kaiser's true goal. At the Fire temple, Tiz and Edea discover that the Fire Crystal has been overcharged as the group realize his goal to summon the Holy Pillar. After defeating Janne, restoring Hartshield's people after learning Angelo is a member of the empire, the group hurries to Florem to intercept their enemy at the Water Crystal, only to see the Skyhold shot down by a massive energy blast.

The group consults the matriarch of Florem and has the Vestling of Water, Sylvie, place a shield around the Water Crystal. The group then repels an attack by the Glanz Empire's Geist Grace while attracting the attention of Lotus, an engineer from the hidden Sagitta Village. He takes the party to Sagitta and reveals their Ba'al destroying SP cannon, revealed to be the weapon that grounded the Skyhold after they detected a Ba'al within it. The party also learn the identity of their mysterious benefactor to be Altair, a Celestial Being who possessed Tiz since the Great Chasm and remained quiet until ending up in the youth's body a second time to guide the group. He reveals that the Ba'als are being created from his memories. Meanwhile, revealed to have manipulated her through Geist's son Revenant Grace, the Kaiser has Agnès dispel the shield around the Water Crystal and overcharge it to summon the Holy Pillar. After defeating Geist and Nikolai, both following the Kaiser out of their respective guilt, the group decide to mount an assault on the Skyhold. But with Revenant and Janne sacrificing themselves to slow the group down, the Kaiser takes Agnès with him as he travels back in time. No sooner did the Kaiser leave then his cryst-fairy aide Anne uses the Holy Pillar's power to remove the Moon. The party defeats Anne in battle, but the destruction of the Moon ceases the flow of time and places the world in a state that would eventually end in inevitable destruction.

The party uses Magnolia's hourglass to go back in time to the peace ceremony and stop the Kaiser from abducting Agnès, only to learn the man is Yew's estranged older brother Denys Geneolgia. As Denys is later freed by Janne and Nikolai, everyone finds they have some memory of the previous timeline so Yew's group secures the compass and orchestrate a plan to damage the Skyhold. Yew's group also confront all of Denys' lieutenants, sparing their lives while convincing them to turn over a new leaf, only to find Denys escaped to the Genelogia crypt. Yew eventually corners Denys, learning his brother's intent to use the compass to travel back in time to kill their family's founder Fondar Genelogia to negate the corrupt misdeeds caused by his bloodline. But Yew defeats Denys while convincing him that his way would not solve anything. Though Denys accepts any punishment upon his lost, Agnès and Braev convince him to own up to his mistakes and create a world of peace in the present. But the celebration is short-lived when the party learn that Anne used Sylvie to manifest the Holy Pillar to once more remove the moon. Though Denys destroys Anne's brooch, the fairy having revealed to have intended to betray him, she awakens the Ba'al that ravaged Magnolia's home from within the Skyhold to destroy the group. When Diamante proves too much for Yew's group to defeat, Denys sacrifices himself by using the compass to send himself and the Ba'al to the end of time itself.

The party awakens in Caldisla, which was revealed to have been removed from everyone's memory by Yoko until that moment. After a Ba'al attack, the group find Anne at the Great Chasm of Norende where she began to summon peak condition Ba'als through. Prior to her defeat, Anne is revealed to be the older sister of Airy and that she helped Tiz and the others eliminate her and Ouroboros since their intrusion on the Celestial Realm posed a threat to her master Providence. Called a god of the Celestial Realm, Anne explains that the Ba'al were created by Providence using the memories of Altair's lover Vega. After Anne is killed, the group enters the Celestial Realm while Altair recounts his time with Vega before finding her and freeing her from Providence's control. But after Altair and Vega depart in peace, the group are attacked by Providence, who reveals that they are controlled by another being (The Player) while nearly manipulating that being into destroying itself (delete the save file). But Yew stops the being as he and the others who got given second chances convince that figure to not give up before the group destroy Providence.

When the group return to Luxendarc, Tiz is revealed to be dying again now that Altair's soul has left him. But the mysterious Adventurer, who has provided aid to the party, appears and takes Magnolia's hourglass back in time to give to Tiz at the start of his original adventure. The Adventurer, revealing herself to be a colleague of Altair's named Deneb, returns and informs the group that the hourglass, now with two and a half years' worth of hopes and dreams, will be able to renew his life. Agnès, possessing the hourglass, delivers it to the party and revives Tiz. Some time after fulfilling her goals, Agnès retires from her duties as the pope and settles down in Norende with Tiz while Edea sets out as the new Grand Marshall to secure the peace between Eternia and the Orthodoxy. At that time, Magnolia decides to remain on Luxendarc with Yew finally working up the courage to confess his love for her and returns the expression by telling him him her true name. In a post-credits scene, having posed as Alternis Dim to aid his friends from behind the scenes, Ringabel is revealed to have become an agent of an interdimensional police force called the Planeswalkers and confirms to them that the Sword of the Brave exists.

Spoiler: Gameplay
The game, like its predecessor, is a role-playing video game, and reuses the battle system implemented in Bravely Default. New to the game is a chain-battle feature where a player who defeats a random encounter may continue to battle enemies in succession for greater risk and reward. The original game's sidequests have been revamped; players encounter two Eternian asterisk holders in an argument about an ethical dilemma, and the player must resolve the conflict with the reward being the loser's asterisk.

As far as we've been introduced to the world of Shokugeki no Souma, the most prestigious in Tōtsuki is the first seat of the Elite Ten. However what comes next? We know that the real culinary world exist in Shokugeki no Souma as well, as far as getting Michelin stars for restaurants etc. We have also seen certain people getting awards that exist in our reality as well. However there have been hints of other "Tootsuki-like systems". For instance when Fumio describes Azami's stay at Tōtsuki (See picture above).

This thread will serve as the discussion area for people like Gin Dōjima, Jōichirō Saiba, and other people who graduated at Tootsuki. Also consider the following questions:
  • What is the so-called "The Level of Circle of Demon Kings of Food"? Other than being a cheesy title.
  • How do we know if someone is already at that level?
  • How do you imagine the culinary world after Tōtsuki?

How Big Is The Difference Between Souma And Eishi?

Now that the manga is moving towards a direction that suggest the clashing between the entire Elite 10/Central and the Rebels/Souma's group. The leader of both are Eishi and Souma as the first seat and the #1 rebel. I think we should discuss the difference between the two front figures. As we all know they have clashed once before in an unofficial shokugeki whereas Eishi initially asked for the shokugeki in order to get Souma as his personal assistant-chef. Souma lost but was not forced to join central as Eishi's right hand due to Eishi realizing that it would most likely bring more trouble than he was worth as a right hand. Based on the judging on the two dishes prepared Eishi was the winner but not at all as one sided as Erina and Hisako predicted. Souma's dish was on almost an even level. Now, what we can only assume, to be a few months later Souma and Eishi might clash again.

Souma's Elite Ten Battles
Unofficial: Souma vs Isshiki (7th Seat) - Draw
Official Shokugeki: Souma vs Etsuyan Eizan (9th Seat) - Win
Moon Festival Battle: Souma & Tadokoro vs Kuga (8th Seat) & comp. - Win
Official Shokugeki: Souma vs Hayama Akira (9th Seat) - Win
Unofficial Shokugeki: Souma vs Eishi Tsukasa (1st Seat) - Loss

So how big is the difference really between the two?
And where in the ladder of Tootsuki Ten would you place Souma?
