Throughout his travellings Ash did good in terms of competing. He did manage to place high in some leagues, win over a powerful trainers, raise a bunch of good Pokemon and some great powerhouses. So far his stats are the following:

XY series greatly improved the show and is maybe the best saga for now. Battles are far more better, Pokemon far more powerful, there is a lot of new moves and above all, Ash grew to be a powerful trainer indeeed. He uses his head great, manages to find tactics to beat Pokemon far more powerful than his own and what is most interesting, his team is just great. Unlike other regions all the Pokemons here evolve.
He currently has these Pokemon:
And this seems to be his most powerful squad so far. They won hard battles, beat overpowered Pokemon and upon evolution, Talonflame and Noivern even gave a good fight against legendary birds. His Greninja is able to take a special form known as Ash's Greninja which is very similar to Mega Evoultion. In the following episode there is high implication that his Goodra will come back to the team. Another full evolved Pokemon.

With Mega Evolution in play there is also a high chance that Ash will use it to power up his main two powerhouses - Charizard and Sceptile.
So with this powerful team, great mind and tactician he has became do you think the producers will finally let Ash win the league? They are certainly building up story towards that end. Or they will continue the same way and have him like before?
