A few years ago(2009) there was some buzz about a man who married his waifu(female anime/manga/video game character) called Nene Anegasaki from a gal game(video games that involve interactions with anime-styled pretty girls) called Love plus.

The courtship began in September when he started playing the game, in which players nurture a deeper relationship through game play. He carried Nene around the streets of Tokyo and taking her to Disneyland and to a beach resort in Guam.
He cited his reason as and I quote "Nene is better than a human girlfriend. "She doesn't get angry if I'm late in replying to her. Well, she gets angry, but she forgives me quickly."
Meaning that there some who view anime/manga and video games as being more than an entertainment medium, what do you think of this man's view?and between what's in 2D and reality which would you prefer?
