Unofficial One Punch Man Tier List

We have the official rankings of characters who are in the Hero Association and official rankings of what those heroes give to Monsters though threat levels. But while all of them are official, they are still given to each other / monsters in the One Punch Man universe. That is why you see heroes and monsters classified poorly fairly often, because it's human error to get something wrong once in a while. Maybe you thought that hero was stronger than he actually was? Maybe that mysterious being who looked frail wasn't as weak as you thought?

A prime example is from the latest special and a mysterious being that shows up. The mysterious being mentioned initially thought to be weak turns out to be stronger than it's physical appearance shows. The lower class heroes immediately "change" the classification from Wolf to Dragon. One, that's probably not an accurate measurement of the MB's strength and he is probably no stronger than Demon. Two, how are classifications being shown as official when low ranking Heroes are handing them out like hot cakes apparently?

Anyway, I figured it would be good to post a tier list in the name of Marineford, and as we progress through the story and through the discussion in the section below I would change it based on us and what we think is correct as a team. I know we have the Hero Threat Levels post but it's really not keeping track of progression or anything. It's a discussion without the substance. This will obviously cause a stir up sometimes but after I post my initial tier list (sorry if it isn't what you want to see) I will try my best to represent Marineford accurately in it's ranking of heroes and monsters alike by editing frequently and engaging everyone. Let me remind you that you should absolutely be debating with others just try and keep it friendly.
