Poem Of The Month February - Winners

You're the hero Japan needs.
You're number one in my heart.
All your magnificent deeds
Have teared the villains apart.

When I first met you
I couldn't believe my sight,
But through the sky we flew:
Me and the hero All Might.

Your secret I have found,
Terrible wounds, they seem.
But you picked me up from the ground
And gave meaning to my dream.

A hero like you I will be,
Hopefully one day.
All you're doing for me,
Impossible to repay.

Walking home late at night,
Through this troublesome city,
Where no heroes dare excite,
And villains murder without pity.

Fear grabs you tight,
In darkness lies a threat,
Should you run? Or maybe hide?
Too late! A villain’s gun points at your head.

What now? Will you die?
Is it time to say good bye?
"No!", you scream as hope comes from the skies,
A punch so mighty, you just can't believe your eyes.

A man, a fist, a voice, a smile,
Has arrived to save in style.
Nothing more now is to fear:
“For I am here!”

Born without any power,
He was said to be lower.
People wanted him to fall,
But he didn't and stood tall.

His condition was unfair,
There were times he felt despair.
But one day he met All Might,
And his future became bright.

Fearless, he faces danger,
Never fleeing, always brave.
His resolve becomes stronger,
As he has someone to save.

Faced with hardship, he goes through,
Fighting to attain his goal.
This hero's name is Deku,
His mantra is "One for All".
