And I'm not talking about them fighting for the seat of the Sorcery Emperor. I'm talking about how they are destined to fight each other. Regardless their dream.
1. First Battle
Story begins as narrator tells us a tale on how the first Sorcery Emperor defeated the Demon.

- It should be noted that this magic knight has used the four leaf clover grimoire while the demon most probably was using some kind of black grimoire as they are associated with demons.
2. Unknown Origin And Early Rivarly
When we are introduced to the boys we learn they were left as babies in an church-orphan sanitary at a same time and ever since were rivals.
3. Grimoires
Grimoires are basically spell books which magic users use to produce magic.
In chapter 1 we saw an acceptance ceremony in which grimoires choose their owners. The said process wasn't explained and it seemed as the grimoires are choosing their owners themselves. Destiny?
We also know that Yuno received the 4 leaf clover grimoire which was once own by the first Sorcery Emperor.

While Asta is closely associated with demons and is in possession of a clover wanted by "demons".
4. Naruto Parallel
At the beginning of the series Black Clover really ressembled Naruto. Mana | Magic Knights | Sorcerery Emperor | I will become the Sorcery Emperor | Dumb and untalented Asta | Smart and talented Yuno | Asta & Yuno rivarly is very similar to Chakra | Shimobis | Hokage | I will become the Hokage | Dumb and untalented Naruto | Smart and talented Sasuke | Naruto & Sasuke rivarly
In Naruto we saw that Naruto and Sasuke were destined to fight in the end, no matter what, in order to end the Asura/Indra cycle. Maybe Asta and Yuno will fight too? As Demon and Magic Knight trying to protect the Kingdom in one last battle? (Though I would switch roles. I find it hard to believe Tabaka would dare make a protagonist "evil" and let, to some extent, an arrogant rival to be the hero)
