Scopper Gaban is said to be the 3rd strongest member of the Roger Pirates basing on the logic of GOLD Roger, SILVERS Rayleigh, and SCOPPER Gaban. He could be the Pirate King's left hand, with Rayleigh being the right hand.
After we've seen Rayleigh become Luffy's mentor in training his Haki during the time skip. A lot of speculations came up on when will Gaban come into the scene and what will his role be for Luffy. I'm leaning towards the theory of him training Luffy's Devil Fruit awakening, but that's a different story. But haven't you noticed that we have already seen a glimpse of Scopper Gaban?
Look at the picture below. That old bald guy actually looks like an old version of the young Scopper Gaban that we have seen. The shades, the pointed nose, the smile, are pretty identical!
Not to mention, the old Rayleigh and current Zoro now have similarities with both having a cut on one eye. And this old Gaban is smoking just like Sanji!
