The timing of Ordo's attack couldn't come at a better time for Qin who are about to embark on a risky strategy.Since the Zhao forces are concentrated on Western Zhao lands an attack from the east catches Riboku completely off guard and would lead to a situation where he may have to reduce his forces on the west to defend the east.Leading to the thought that he might want a possible alliance with Qin.
Yet he could be seeking to ally with Riboku whom he was once an ally with so fighting together to beat the more powerful Qin would be of benefit to both their states but judging from Riboku's reaction to his appearance it seems unlikely
There's also the option of allying with neither,having his own reasons as to the attack on Zhao.
