During his fight with Garou,it was shown that the more damage he tanked instead of succumbing to them the more physical strength he gained.Standing up after every beating Garou gave him even stronger than before causing Garou to acknowledge that one hit from that bat and he'd have lost the fight.
Same goes for Senior centicipide,each of his attacks came back with more power.
