Based on the majoritarian supportive nature of the country flag discussion, we decided to add country flags to posts & profile:


You can select your country in ther User CP -> Edit Profile:


The country will show on your profile as text, on your postbit as flag:


Each country flag is also a link to the Wikipedia entry of the respective country, a feature you can use if you want to get a bit of info about foreign countries you come across here on the forum:

Selecting Your Country

Selecting your country is optional. You can also leave it blank / select "undisclosed". However, I warmly recommend everybody to select the country he is from. 1.) It is nice to actively witness the multicultural nature of our community. 2.) Knowing where someone is from helps in knowing & understanding that person. I personally feel like there is a big unknown to someone I chat and interact with on a regular basis, if I don't know where that someone is from. 3.) Knowing where someone is from particularly helps when it comes to the different timezones of all our users. (Unless your name is Sasuke and timezones don't apply to your sleeping pattern.)
